Section 13.90.100. Reporting of suspected abuse of vulnerable adults.

(a) Repealed 7/1/91. (b) A grantee shall require reporting by all staff if there is reasonable cause to believe that a vulnerable adult has suffered abuse or neglect as defined in AS 47.24.900 and that there is immediate danger to the vulnerable adult, or that the abuse is ongoing and the vulnerable adult is unable or unwilling to assure the vulnerable adult's own safety. The report must be made to the central information and referral service for vulnerable adults, through the Department of Administration, division of senior services. If there is reasonable cause to believe that immediate action is necessary to protect the individual, the report must be made to a peace officer.
