(a) The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publication entitled Handbook 44, Specifications, Tolerances, and Other Technical Requirements for Weighing and Measuring Devices applies to all devices, except as otherwise provided in this chapter. (b) Section 2.20 (scales) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publication entitled Handbook 44, Specifications, Tolerances, and Other Technical Requirements for Weighing and Measuring Devices is adopted by reference under AS 45.75.050(d) and this section, except as amended in (c), (d), and (e) of this section. (c) Note 3 is amended to read: N.3 Recommended Minimum Test Weights and Test Loads*. The recommended minimum test weights and test loads for in-service tests (except railway track scales) are shown in Table 4. [See Table 4 for *.] (d) The heading of Table 4 is amended to read: Table 4. Recommended Minimum Test Weights and Test Loads. (e) Paragraph UR 3.7(a) is modified by changing "landfills and transfer stations" to read "collection or transfer sites."
