The director will use the standards and techniques described in the following documents adopted by reference to evaluate whether a weighing or measuring apparatus is correct within the meaning of AS 45.75.050(e): (1) NIST Handbook 44, Specifications, Tolerances, and Other Technical Requirements for Weighing and Measuring Devices; (2) NIST Handbook 105-1 (Revised 1990), Specifications and Tolerances for Reference Standards and Field Standard Weights and Measures, 1. Specifications and Tolerances for Field Standard Weights (NIST Class F); (3) NIST Handbook 105-2, Specifications and Tolerances for Reference Standards and Field Standard Weights and Measures, 2. Specifications and Tolerances for Field Standard Measuring Flasks, 1996 edition; (4) NIST Handbook 105-3, Specifications and Tolerances for Reference Standards and Field Standard Weights and Measures, 3.
