Section 2.90.360. Suspension for failure to appear for driver improvement interview or failure to comply with recommendations made in driver improvement interview.

  • 	(a)  If a problem driver, without good cause, fails to appear for a driver improvement interview, the department may notify and suspend the driver's license for a period of one year, or until the driver appears for the interview, whichever occurs first.  
    	(b)  If a problem driver does not comply with the recommendations of the hearing officer made at the driver improvement interview, the department may notify and suspend the driver's license for a period of one year, or until the driver complies with the recommendations, whichever occurs first.  
    	(c)  A suspension of a driver's license under (a) or (b) of this section is effective 30 days after the date of notice.  
    	(d)  For the purposes of this section, "good cause" means circumstances beyond the control of a person, including a physical incapacity requiring hospitalization, that caused the person's failure to appear for a driver improvement interview.
