Section 2.92.350. Special request plates for relatives of members of the United States armed forces killed in the line of duty.

(a) In addition to complying with applicable requirements in AS 28.10 and this chapter, an individual applying for a special request plate for relatives of members of the United States armed forces killed in the line of duty must complete an application form provided by the department and meet the eligibility requirements of AS 28.10.181(l) that apply to relatives of members of the United States armed forces killed in the line of duty. (b) As documentation of being a family member of a member of the armed forces of the United States who was killed in the line of duty, the applicant must submit (1) a report of casualty or DD Form 1300 from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs; or (2) a court order, adoption records, a birth certificate, or other documentation showing at least one common parent to prove a connection to the member of the armed forces of the United States who was killed in the line of duty. (c) The applicant must be a registered owner of the motor vehicle and the vehicle must be currently registered in this state.
