Section 20.05.814. Point system for the Southeastern Alaska sea cucumber dive fishery.

(a) The commission will award a maximum of 45 points to an applicant for past participation in, and economic dependence on, the Southeastern Alaska sea cucumber dive fishery. An applicant who commercially harvested sea cucumbers from the fishery during the January 1, 1992 to July 1, 1996 time period will be awarded points for the years in which they participated according to the poundage thresholds established for each year as follows: 1995 to 3,900 pounds or more 20 July 1, 1996 At least 2,000 pounds, but less than 3,900 pounds 14 At least 900 pounds, but less than 2,000 pounds 11 Less than 900 pounds 8 1994 6,700 pounds or more 17 At least 2,700 pounds, but less than 6,700 pounds 12 At least 1,100 pounds, but less than 2,700 pounds 9 Less than 1,100 pounds 6 1993 4,200 pounds or more 15 At least 2,300 pounds, but less than 4,200 pounds 10 At least 1,200 pounds, but less than 2,300 pounds 7 Less than 1,200 pounds 6 1992 7,400 pounds or more 13 At least 3,700 pounds, but less than 7,400 pounds 8 At least 1,200 pounds, but less than 3,700 pounds 7 Less than 1,200 pounds 4 (b) In this section, (1) "commercially harvested" means the taking and selling of sea cucumbers in the manner consistent with 20 AAC 05.812; (2) "pounds" means actual pounds of sea cucumbers recorded on fish tickets.
