(a) An electric utility has the right to disconnect a qualifying facility without notice if a hazardous condition exists in the equipment of the qualifying facility and immediate action is necessary to protect persons, utility facilities, or other customers' facilities from damage or interference imminently likely to result from the hazardous condition. (b) Not later than 10 days after disconnection under (a) of this section, the electric utility shall notify the qualifying facility in writing of the reasons for the disconnection.
