In the Alaska Peninsula-Aleutian Islands Area, at least 48 hours before fishing, a commercial herring permit holder for seine or gillnet gear must register with the department the permit and the vessel that will be used in the commercial herring fishery by contacting, by telephone, the local representative of the department at one of the following department offices and supplying all requested information: (1) department office in Dutch Harbor; (2) department office in Cold Bay; (3) department office in Sand Point; (4) department office in Port Moller.
