(a) The purpose of the management plan under this section is to meet the Board of Fisheries' goal of directing the king salmon sport fishing effort on hatchery stocks in Resurrection Bay and stabilizing the sport harvest of king salmon in the North Gulf Coast. (b) In the king salmon sport fishery, (1) from January 1 through December 31, outside of the Resurrection Bay Terminal Harvest Area, the bag and possession limit for king salmon is one fish, with no size limit; (2) within the Resurrection Bay Terminal Harvest Area, (A) from May 1 through August 31, the bag and possession limit for king salmon is two fish; with no size limit; (B) from September 1 through April 30, the bag and possession limit for king salmon is one fish, with no size limit; (3) in the North Gulf Coast, the annual limit and harvest record specified in 5 AAC 58.022 does not apply. (c) For the purposes of this section, the (1) North Gulf Coast consists of the salt waters between Gore Point at 59_ 12.00' N. lat., 150_ 57.85' W. long. and the longitude of Cape Fairfield (148_ 50.25' W. long.); (2) Resurrection Bay Terminal Harvest Area consists of the salt waters north of a line between Cape Resurrection and Aialik Cape.
