Section 7.47.030. Application exception.

  • 	(a)  If, because of a medical emergency, a person is unable to apply for General Relief Medical assistance before treatment is received, the patient or a representative of the patient must make application within 30 days of discharge from the medical facility. Failure to apply within 30 days of discharge will result in denial of coverage for services provided before the application is submitted.  
    	(b)  Notwithstanding (a) of this section, the division will not accept an application for General Relief Medical assistance if the application is received in a district office after July 31, 1998.
