(a) Unless waived by the board, a self-insurer shall maintain at one location within this state copies of all records necessary to complete and verify the accuracy of all reports and documents submitted to the division. If this requirement is waived, a self-insurer shall, upon 15 days' written notice from the division, provide copies of all records necessary to complete and verify the accuracy of all reports and documents submitted to the division. (b) All records required under this section must be open to inspection by authorized division representatives during the self-insured's regular business hours and must be retained for three years.
