An application for a license by examination to practice body piercing must be submitted in accordance with 12 AAC 09.005. The application must include verification that the applicant has (1) successfully completed at least 1,000 hours of training that meets the requirements of AS 08.13.082(d) and 12 AAC 09.167(a) - (c); (2) successfully completed training equivalent to that required for completion of courses certified by the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or a similar organization approved by the board, and has been issued a current card, in (A) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); and (B) blood borne pathogens; and (3) passed the written examination described in 12 AAC 09.068.
