Section 4.12.385. Career and technical education personnel qualifications.

(a) Each person employed as a career and technical education instructor must possess (1) a teacher certificate issued under 4 AAC 12.305 or a Type B certificate issued under 4 AAC 12.345 with a career and technical education subject matter endorsement issued under 4 AAC 12.395; or (2) a limited certificate issued under 4 AAC 12.372. (b) The department may grant a waiver of the endorsement requirement in (a) of this section to a person who held a Type A or B certificate on December 23, 1988. (c) A person employed at a school site that has a grade 9 - 12 secondary school average daily membership of less than 100 is exempt from the endorsement requirement in (a) of this section.
