(a) An insurer that submits a filing through an electronic filing system approved under AS 21.96.080 by the director shall submit the filing in accordance with the requirements for that electronic filing system.
(b) If the electronic filing system becomes unavailable for use, the director may extend the review timelines under AS 21.39.040, 21.39.041, 21.39.220; AS 21.42.123, 21.42.125; AS 21.57.080; AS 21.66.370, 21.66.450; AS 21.84.255; AS 21.86.070; or AS 21.87.180 by an additional working day for each day the system is unavailable. For purposes of identifying the additional working day under the extended timeline, the director will use the procedure set out in 3 AAC 31.205(b).
(c) If the electronic filing system becomes unavailable for use for an extended period of time, the director may authorize communication by another available method in order to continue the review of the filing. When the electronic filing system again becomes available for use, the director and the filer will add their respective filing communications to the electronic filing.
