Section 18.34.015. Derby fish.

(a) A fishing derby association permitted by the Department of Fish & Game under AS 16.05.662 to sell derby-caught fish to a processor shall ensure that (1) the fish is visually checked for contamination from bilge water, diesel fuel, and bird droppings as it comes off the fishing boats; contaminated fish may not be sold; (2) storage containers used to hold the fish are made of plastic or another impermeable material that is easily cleanable; (3) storage containers are cleaned between uses; (4) the fish is protected from direct sunlight or other sources of heat; (5) the fish is iced or chilled to maintain quality; (6) the fish is cleaned in an area that is covered to protect the seafood from weather and bird droppings; (7) fish is not cleaned on recreational fishing boats; (8) each table used to clean the fish has an easily cleanable surface and is regularly cleaned; (9) the area where the fish is to be cleaned has potable water in amounts sufficient to clean containers, fish, and tables; and (10) disposal of fish waste does not violate AS 46.03.810 or any other provision of law. (b) In this section, "fishing derby association" has the meaning given in AS 16.05.662.
